Usage:
Chest and bronchi. These remedies work singly on croup but as a mixture they form an extremely strong combination for this dreaded condition in babies and small children. Use as a preventative for those prone to this condition.
Recommended dosage:
Preventative - 1 dose 1x daily. Can be given in conjunction with CB9 or Chest Tissue Salts, to strengthen the bronchi. Ferrum phos 6X and Gunpowder 30C can also be given 1x daily to prevent infection. The whole effort here is to keep the bronchi strong in order to prevent attacks.
Acute - give 1 dose every 5-15 minutes in water with Aconite, until symptoms ease.
Remedies:
- Lachesis - sensation of suffocating when lying down
- Moonstone Blue (gem remedy) - excellent in many throat conditions
- Sambucus - spasmodic croup, worse at midnight. Child wakes up suddenly - turns blue. Cannot expire - nearly suffocates
- Spongia - constricted - croup worse during inspiration and before midnight. Breath short and panting - a plug in throat
